Grilled Pork Spare Ribs

For this full rack of pork spare ribs I will be using both a dry rub and liquids.

Dry rub Ingredients:
paprika
light brown sugar
salt
ground red pepper
dry mustard
bay leaf

Directions:

Place the ribs in a pan. Sprinkle all dry ingredients on the pork spare ribs, you will want to put an even coat on both sides of the ribs. Use about 2-3 tbsp of each ingredient.

Liquid Ingredients:

Olive oil
Worcestershire sauce
1-2 Cans of beer

Once the dry ingredients have been rubbed onto the spareribs, and they are in a pan, go ahead and dump in about 1/2 cup of the olive oil and 1/2 cup of the Worcestershire sauce. Then you can add the 1-2 cans of beer depending on how well the ribs are covered. You will then want to place the ribs in the fridge about a day before you plan on cooking them. You will also want to turn these every few hours.

Cooking Directions:

Grill time. Place the grill on low-medium heat. I always place a sheet of aluminum foil on the bottom rack and grill the ribs on the top rack. You will want indirect heat. This grilling process will take about 1.5-2 hours. You will want to check frequently as well. Through the process, when you check the ribs, baste them lightly with your favorite BBQ sauce. The ribs are done when you can see the meat start to "separate" from the bone. The basting will keep the ribs from getting dried out.

I have also cooked these on the grill before with them on the top rack with aluminum foil and the marinating juices in with them. With 10-15 minutes left in the grilling process you can take the tin foil off. and place them on the grill.

This recipe sounds delicious! Definitely takes a good deal of preparation, but I am sure it would be well worth it.

Personally, I need to motivate myself to cook more. I'm always busy with work and school but taking some time to cook can actually be a stress reliever in the middle of a busy evening.

I'll definitely be back to check out some more of your recipes!
